Village Green at Vint Hill is a community recreation center that offers basketball, volleyball, racquetball, pool, fitness center and table tennis. Vint Hill also boasts a wide array of fields, some lighted, for softball, baseball, soccer, lacrosse, and football. Tennis courts, basketball courts, and picnic shelters are also available. Forty acres of open space are under design for a linear park and open space and will be adjacent to the future Main Street village center with restaurants and shops and may feature an ice-skating rink and amphitheater. The thirty acres of lighted recreational fields, tennis courts, gymnasium, outdoor pool and picnic areas at the southern end of Vint Hill are actively used for team sports and individual recreational activities.

The Larry Weeks Community Pools at Vint Hill is a family pool 25 meters long with a water depth ranging from 2-6 feet. A separate children’s pool has a maximum depth of 2 feet and there is a water-drop misting mushroom, a squirt turtle, fountains and a frog slide. Locker rooms, showers, a family changing room and concession vending are part of the community pool facility. More information is available at Fauquier County Parks and Recreation.

Lake Brittle is adjacent to Vint Hill and open to the public 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Visitors can hike, fish, or picnic at the lake. A concession stand and boat rentals are available. More information is available at Virginia Department of Game and Inland Fisheries.

Piedmont Dogs opened Fauquier County’s first public off-leash dog park facility at Vint Hill in the spring of 2010 at the corner of Aiken Drive and Kennedy Road. More information is available at Piedmont Dogs

Fauquier Community Theater

The Fauquier Community Theater has been performing in the Vint Hill Theater since 1999. Each year FCT mounts an ambitious schedule of plays and musicals, always striving for material that appeals to the broad tastes of the community, including children. For ticket information, call (540) 349-8760.

Cold War Museum

The Cold War Museum at Vint Hill is open as of November 2011. Francis Gary Powers, Jr., the founder of The Cold War Museum (www.coldwar.org), will lease a two story building and secure storage facility at Vint Hill. Powers is the son of Francis Gary Powers, a CIA pilot whose U-2 spy plane was shot down over the Soviet Union in May 1960. The Museum will display the unique collection of international Cold War related artifacts and educate current and future generations about this critical period in international relations.

Vint Hill Craft Winery

The Vint Hill Craft Winery, located in one of the historic barns at Vint Hill, is now open. The Washington, DC region's most unique winery, Vint Hill Craft Winery offers education and hands on participation in the wine production process. Participants will receive instructions on all aspects of wine making, and craft their own personalized wine. The Winery is operating in the renovated two-story barn that has been transformed into a sustainable, eco-friendly production facility, with state of the art wine making equipment.

The heart of the new vision for Vint Hill is a Village Center comprised of a Main Street of shops, restaurants and residences. A forty acre stream valley park is also planned. The first phase of the Village will be located in the Barns complex, the location of the Vint Hill Craft Winery and the Cold War Museum.
