The Inn at Vint Hill The Inn at Vint Hill is a full service special events facility, featuring a perfect private location, scenic beauty and casually sophisticated cuisine. The Inn at Vint Hill, a newly renovated 1860 manor house offers panoramic views of the Blue Ridge Mountains, beautifully landscaped grounds, multiple rooms for entertaining guests. Their market includes offerings such as a variety of meats, cheeses, vegetables, nuts, baked goods, fruit, wholesome prepared food from local ingredients, coffee, teas, and home and body products. Farmers enter the produce they will have for the upcoming week, and customers can place their orders from Sunday at 1 pm to Wednesday at 9 am. Vint Hill offers a convenient location for customer pick-up on Thursdays. http://www.farmergirls.net/ Cold War Museum The Cold War Museum will locate at Vint Hill in the summer of 2010. Francis Gary Powers, Jr., the founder of The Cold War Museum (www.coldwar.org), will lease a two story building and secure storage facility at Vint Hill. Powers is the son of Francis Gary Powers, a CIA pilot whose U-2 spy plane was shot down over the Soviet Union in May 1960. The Museum will display the unique collection of international Cold War related artifacts and educate current and future generations about this critical period in international relations. http://www.coldwar.org Vint Hill Craft Winery The Vint Hill Craft Winery, located in one of the historic barns at Vint Hill, is now open. The Washington, DC region's most unique winery, Vint Hill Craft Winery offers education and hands on participation in the wine production process. Participants will receive instructions on all aspects of wine making, and craft their own personalized wine. Dog Park Under Development Piedmont Dogs LLC has leased 1.25 acres from the Vint Hill EDA and is developing a fenced dog park at the corner of Kennedy Road and Aiken Drive. Piedmont Dogs hopes to have the park completed in the spring. http://www.piedmontdogs.com Planned Village Center The heart of the new vision for Vint Hill is a Village Center comprised of a Main Street of shops, restaurants and residences. A forty acre stream valley park is also planned. The first phase of the Village will be located in the Barns complex, the location of the Vint Hill Craft Winery and the Cold War Museum. Residential Vint Hill has 300 newly constructed single family homes and another 975 homes are approved and under development at Brookside, a separate development at the southwest boundary.
